It is tangier than whole poppy which has very little taste, and shouldn't be confused with being rancid or stale.
When ground, the exotic flavor comes out and needs a sweetener like sugar, honey, etc., or it can be soaked in hot milk.

Once you receive it, store refrigerated or use within 5 days.
Refrigerated will last 3 months, or frozen up to one year.
For desserts, soak in hot milk for an hour, or simmer with milk, sugar, and raisins for a filling.
